DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT

Bowden Stage 2, Stage 3 & Stage 6 are located in the existing Clipsal site and is the epicentre of the commercial development in Bowden. The brownfields subdivision involved the construction of new road ways that each integrated detailed landscaping. The introduction of tree pits and subsoil drainage beneath the road meant construction processes had to be carefully planned. The extent of concrete works involved in the roads required the engagement of multiple concrete crews to work on separate fronts of the project. The presence of deep lift also meant installation of hotmix had to be spread out over half a dozen separate dates. Due to the continual operation of the site’s existing building, overhead power was retained until switch over – however, we were able to work around this added level of complexity with total success.
